Consistency is all about building trust, whether with yourself or others. If you’re working on building trust with yourself, remind yourself that small, steady steps still count as progress.
Progress is more important than perfection.
When making a commitment with someone, you can say: "You can count on me to follow through. If anything changes, I’ll be sure to let you know."
Being consistent doesn’t mean never slipping up—it’s about showing up again and again, even when it’s tough. When you can’t follow through, it’s important to communicate. For example: "I’m truly sorry, but something has come up, and I’m unable to attend/help as I originally planned."
If someone brings up your past inconsistency, you might say: "I know I haven’t been as consistent as I’d like. I’m working on being more reliable, and I appreciate your patience while I get there."
Give yourself grace when you slip up—we’re all human, and mistakes happen.
Learn from them, let go, and keep moving forward.
Keep Shining!
